The Perfect Stitch grew out of a change during my first pregnancy in 2016, when I decided to make curtains for our own home and found I loved it far more than I expected to.
A close friend, who had been a curtain maker for 40 years, became my mentor as I turned that into a business, teaching me the traditional techniques and standards I still hold every piece to today. Running alongside this, over 20 years’ experience as a project manager brings a level of organisation and attention to detail to the business that complements the craft side perfectly.
Every piece that leaves our workroom is measured in your home, and fitted by our professional fitters, not sent out to a factory somewhere else. That hands-on approach has been there from the start.
What I love most is being responsible for the finishing touches that make a house feel like a home, that moment when curtains that were just fabric on a table a week earlier are suddenly hanging exactly as they imagined, sometimes better.
